Free in-gallery activities for schools
In June and July 2026, school groups visiting London Museum Docklands will have the opportunity to meet historical characters and storytellers, bringing the story of the Docklands to life. These activities are available to all school groups who have booked a self-led visit (subject to availability).
Hear Caribbean music histories
Join George as she delves into her Trinidadian family’s musical history, from African chants to Calypso and Soca, and learn about how Black history has shaped the music of today in this interactive storytelling experience.
George will be in the Warehouse of the World gallery on the dates and times listed below.

Meet Brunel
Meet Isambard Kingdom Brunel and find out how he built the first tunnel under a river in the world, right here in London. Find out about his life and times in Victorian England, and how he cheated death three times.
Perhaps you'll even find yourselves recreating the building of the tunnel and making sure it's watertight.

Meet the dockers
Meet Bert and Eliza Trott, an East End husband and wife duo. Listen to their stories of life in London's Victorian docks and hear how Eliza’s involvement in the 1888 match girls' strike inspired Bert to back the 1889 dockers' strike.

We expect these activities to be popular, so schools who have booked to visit the Warehouse of the World and City & River galleries will be given priority.
