A Curious Pump
A curious pump, with an inscription below the image, "in the yard belonging to Leather sellers hall, near Bishopsgate street (supposed of the time of Queen Elizabeth or James I) The mermaid figure at the top was constructed to be used on festal days as a fountain to discharge wine or other liquors at the breasts".
