Detailed article from the Gentleman's Magazine from May 1759 which describes a divorce case where a woman divorces her husband due to 'unprovoked cruelty'. The article continues to describe how the women is subsequently kidnapped by her husband and her escape from what she believes will be her death. The other articles include triplets being born to a couple aged 50 and 60 years of age, the murder of Mrs Thornton from Greek Street, the attack of Mr Jacknall, a marble being erected in St. Ann's Church yard for King Theodore Baron Neuhoff, and an advert for essence of pepper-mint which relieves stomach pains.
