West View of the Interior of Furnivals Inn
West View of Interior of Furnivals Inn, Holborn - c. 1820. Furnival's Inn was an Inn of Chancery until Lincoln's Inn declined to renew its lease in 1817, when it was dissolved and shortly afterwards demolished - this engraving shows furniture being removed. The replacement building took the same name but was demolished to allow for the extension of the Prudential Assurance building in 1897.
