The Venetian Embassadors Entry through London
Decorated handwriting exercise sheet which has been used by someone signing themselves "Peter Sinclair, his Piece, Christmas". He has inscribed three texts appropriate to Christmas in the blank central panel. Apart from the procession of the Venetian ambassador, there is (bottom centre) His Majesty Reviewing the Guards in Hyde Park, and (left) British Heroes returning from the Wars (with angels blowing trumpets overhead), and Morning: The Miller Loading his Meal for the Market; and on the right The Rising of the Indians in North America (threatening European captives withspears and scalping), and Evening: The Miller Returning from the Market.
