Barhafftiger Bericht von der grossen und fast unerhorten Feuers Brunst welche durch Berhangnik Gottes in Engeland . . .
The Great Fire of London. An engraving of London seen from a (non-existent) hillside above Southwark (on which are various figures and dogs, resting and travelling) of London aflame: the engraving appears to be a pre-existing view of London with the smoke added after the fire. Places are identified on the engraving and by a numbered key. The engraving has been printed seperately onto the larger sheet with the (blackletter) letterpress account of the fire was printed. Johann Hoffmann was a book and art dealer in Nuremberg (publications in 1678 and 1690).
