A View of the Mall.
'A View of the Mall' with a parade of caricatures of people who could probably, by their eccentricity of form or manner, have been recognised at the time without difficulty. The gentlemen strike attitudes, wearing cocked hats and thrust their hands in their tail pockets; one lady smirks and looks sideways at a man wearing an elaborate gold-embroidered coat and a sash. Buckingham House is in the background, St James's Park to the left. BM Cat. 3188.
