Design for a long sash, bearing the oak-leaf insignia devised by Hargrave in 1934 as a personal award for exceptional Green Shirt action. The first awards were given to Ashley Lewis for leading a Green Shirt demonstration against the Fascists in Finsbury Park on May 12th 1934; and to Michael Murphy for throwing a green brick through the window of 11, Downing Street on June 27th 1934.
