Printed Ephemera — 1929
Banner of the People: Wayland Smith
Design for one of the Banners of the People, a set depicting figures from British myth and folklore. This one shows Wayland Smith, a stylised white horse, blacksmith's tools and horseshoe; the design for the other side incorporates a stylised hammer and a forge.
The banners were made up for the Althing in 1930 by Kathleen Milnes. The set of banners is also in the Museum's collection.
