Banner of the People: Beowulf
Design for one of the Banners of the People: Beowulf. One side shows Beowulf's head, and the other side, 'the hero's shield,'Hag Grendel ... Hag Grendel's awful claw - and a sword fish'.
The banners were made up for the Althing in 1930 by Kathleen Milnes. The set of banners is also in the Museum of London's collection.
