Banner Flotant of the Totem House
Design for a banner of the Totem House, dated 1929 and signed with Hargrave's fox head mark
The idea of the Totem House was launched in July 1927 as a central register or all the Kindred's woodcraft names. Initially totems were registered on paper (Kinsfolk had to pay a fee) but the aspiration was to create a place where each member would be represented physically by carved totem discs
