Shoe, dance shoe
One of a pair of shoes worn by Anna Pavlova most likely as part of the costume for the 1920s version of Russian Dance.
Gold lamé heeled shoes with coloured glass jewels on each toe. The shoes were tied on with pink silk ribbons. It is difficult to date these shoes but they appear match those worn by Pavlova in the 1920s enlarged and redesigned version of Russian Dance.
