Fashion — 1915
Flower, artificial flower
Cloth rose used by Pavlova in The Bacchanale in 1915 and given by her to Ruby Ginner.
The Bacchanale was one of Pavlova’s most popular divertissements in the 1910s and continued in the repertoire into the late 1920s. The pas de deux was performed to Autumn from Glazunov’s The Seasons. There is some confusion as to who choreographed the pas de deux, some sources say Mikhail Mordkin and others Mikhail Fokine.
