Handkerchief
Fine lawn neckkerchief, triangular in two sections, with an embroidered border in a meandering design of exotic leaves and flowers in polychrome silks in shades of blue, green, pink, yellow, white and orange in chain stitch with silver strip embroidery in satin and stem stitch.
The border is attached to the plain lawn under a row of couched silver gilt thread; the upper edge is curved to fit the neck and shoulders. All the edges are hemmed. the piece is Indian export work produced for the European market.
