Cap fragment, earflap
One of a pair of knitted earflaps. Yarn diameter: 1.3-1.5 mm, 2 ply, Z spun; colour: 10 YR 3/2 dark greyish brown. Stocking stitch, increasing from narrow end, four stitches visible at widest end hole diameter 0.3-0.4mm (see A26598).
The piece was bought by the London Museum in 1924 and no further find details are known.
