Waistcoat
Man's waistcoat of uncut crimson silk velvet, patterned in cut pile with borders marking the waistcoat front, skirt edges and pockets; diagonal spindle-shapes over the rest of the area; back of striped crimson silk except for the side-back skirts of plain uncut crimson silk velvet. The front edges and the skirt (except the centre back) are lined with cream glazed twilled wool, the rest with linen and a cotton and linen mixture. Formerly sleeved.
