Jacket, lounge suit jacket
A man's lounge jacket made from green herringbone tweed, part of a suit made for the interior decorator David Mlinaric, purchased 19 January 1977. He records that this suit was usually worn with a pale blue shirt, often with no tie, or a pale blue/grey polo neck jersey. He also had a green polo neck jersey and some green suede Chelsea Cobbler boots.
The collar and pocket flaps are edged with a narrow band of tan coloured velvet. The jacket is lined with sky blue synthetic fabric. A label stitched inside the inner left breat pocket reads, 'BLADES [woven beneath a peacock whose open tail feathers are represented by a Tudor rose]/ 8 BURLINGTON GARDENS/ SAVILE ROW, W.1.
