Cat no. 75 in Women's Costume 1750-1800, p. 49: Dress (robe), 1795-1800, altered from earlier dress of 1780-90; white muslin embroidered with a floral pattern in white linen, worked mainly in darning. The centre front bodice edges meet, and the skirt is open; the elbow-length sleeves are without cuffs, and the skirt has been re-sewn to the bodice to produce the higher straight waistline of the latter years of the century. Condition: good.'
