Bodice, blouse
This Biba blouse, part of an ensemble, was purchased from the Summer 1969 Mail Order Catalogue. Biba started life as a small mail order company but tasted its first success in 1964 when a gingham dress and headscarf that was featured in the Daily Mirror resulted in more than 17,000 orders. Following this Barbara Hulanicki opened her first Biba store in 1964, on Abingdon Road in Kensington, London.
