Fashion — 1751-1800
Bodice
Record gave tentative date as 1681-185. the rest of the group was dated 1751-1800 so the date has been changed to reflect this.
The textile pieces 58.45a-h seem to have been given together with the wooden head of Elizabeth I. The object file contains a photo of a tableau of what looks like a life-size Elizabeth figure on a horse attended by a page. A glimpse of her overskirt can be seen which looks like the skirt panels /e-h. Elizabeth's hairstyle looks like a topknot which might date the tableau to the 1830s. Originally the entire group was given one number only.
