Miss Scott as Susan
Theatrical souvenir plates engraved with a portrait of the actress Miss Scott in the role of Susan. Published September 1st 1831. Such sheets would have been sold plain as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home.
Miss Jane Scott performed the role of Susan hundreds of times. Susan was the title character of the Surrey's successful nautical melodrama 'Black-Eyed Susan'. The play made a star of T.P. Cooke, the play's male lead.
