Tobacco pipe, clay pipe
Complete bowl. Fine-quality burnishing over whole of surviving bowl and heel. Fully milled around bowl-rim. Moulded marks on sides of heel, in relief, Arms of the City of Gouda (left side facing smoker): a shield with vertical bar ('a pale') and three stars to either side; dot (right side).Stamped mark, in reliefon base of heel: 96' below crown. Atkinson and Oswald (1969) type 29, Dutch-made.
