Fifty Years of Refrigeration in New Zealand
This newspaper supplement was produced to commemorate 50 years of frozen meat transportation between New Zealand and London. The development of refrigeration on ships was hugely important in expanding the range of cargoes and distances which could be carried by sea. The import of frozen meat became hugely important for London. The magazine contains many articles about early the development of early ship-board refrigeration, voyages and the New Zealand meat industry.
