Written by Samuel Phillips Day, with a preface by Lo Fong Loh ( Secretary to the Chinese Educational Mission in Europe) and published in 1878, this history and guide to tea production was produced by Horniman’s the London tea importers. Its publication reflects the late 19th century fascination with all things Chinese.
