LCC Schools Equipment centre
Sports master choosing equipment at the London Country Council (LCC) Schools Equipment Centre. This teacher was choosing equipment for the junior boys at his school. In 1902 local education authorities (LEA) were established to provide schooling for all children in their designated area. LEAs were also responsible for the co-ordination of school admissions, funding, school meals and medical inspection of children. The LCC was replaced with the Greater London Council in 1965.
