Preparations for the Festival of Britain
The Festival of Britain was organized by the British Government to promote British technology, science and industry as well as to give the population a lift after the difficulties of post war society. The Land Traveller exhibit was popular with visitors as the subject of the stand was British Sports and Games and included a large mural of sporting activities.
