Handkerchief, fichu
Purple/ brown sheer silk muslin ground, heavily embroidered at the lower edge with gold and silver threads and polychrome silk threads worked in satin stitch, basket weave, Holbein (?) stitch, drawn thread. The embroidery encompasses the lower hem; the upper hem is rolled and whip stitched with dark brown silk thread. Alteration Notes: there is substantial darning at the centre back lower pointed edge
