Scarf, printed scarf
The fabric for this rayon scarf is 'block printed', a technique associated with the Footprints workshop which opened in 1925. Block printing was a traditional method of fabric printing which adapted well to small craft workshop production. It underwent a revival during the 1920s thanks to the interest taken in wood engraving at a number of London art schools.
