Staff Probation Reports

Staff Probation Reports from the East and West India Dock Company recording a variety of posts, not appearing to be in any recognisable order.

The Probation Reports are all compiled on pre-printed forms, giving the following information: name, situation, date of commencing duty, brief assessments of the individual's suitability, competence and conduct while on probation, along with comments by the "Controlling Officer", presumably either the individual's manager or department manager.

A very large majority of the forms are favourable; it is possible that a different volume was compiled of unfavourable or failed probation reports.
