Thistie with black and white stripes and an insert of black fabric with random white spots was displayed in the exhibition 'Mary Quant's London' held at the London Museum, Kensington Palace, 29 November 1973 - 30 June 1974. Mary Quant first designed ties in 1972, the first time the designer made something specifically for men.
