Trousers, hotpants
These shorts or hotpants were part of a suit shown in the exhibition 'Mary Quant's London' held at the London Museum, Kensington Palace, 29 November 1973. - 30 June 1974.
'Forces Favourite' was described in the catalogue as a 'grey hopsack suit: jacket with round neck, short puffed sleeves and whtie rows of stitching at the edges and seams, shorts and braces with similar white stitching worn with a white broderie anglais [sic] blouse'. Instead of the shorts the suit could be worn with a maxi skirt (see 74.330/15b).
