Blackbeard the Pirate King
Hand coloured toy theatre character plate for the play 'Blackbeard the Pirate King'. This version published by A How Mathews on September 11th 1895 was sold as a set of sheets for 4d coloured. The plates were printed from original plates published by J.K.Green (see 99.7/23a-o). This, the title plate is printed with two rows of characters in post including two images of Blackbeard.
