Dark brown trapezoid garment piece. Silk satin with applied woven braid around two edges, and pinked holes in a lozenge grid. Probably a picadil or tasset from lower hem of a doublet. May be the doublet in the warp-faced silk but fabric and colour is different. One of 6 pieces of excavated 17th century garment fragments found and discarded as part of Trig Lane excavations in 1974 (TL74) or 1984 (TIG84).
