Jeff Burke of Eddie Stobart Trucking

Colour pigment photographic print of Jeff Burke of transport company EST, shown with one of his trucks in Stratford, 2007. Jeff started trading as EST in 1974 at Portobello Road in west London. He provided transport for the music industry and later expanded into other areas such as the construction industry. He relocated the business to Stratford in the mid-1990s. Like many businesses in the area, Jeff was affected by the compulsory purchase of properties by the London Development Agency to make way for the Olympics. This photograph was taken as part of a project to document the site of the London 2012 Olympic Games prior to its closure for redevelopment in July 2007.
