Lewis Cato, Richard Katunga, Warren Lowe and Paulo Mendes, drivers at H Forman and Son. The business was founded in Stepney in 1905 and is the last of a dozen salmon smokeries that grew up around the Jewish East End. It relies on being close to the West End to supply customers such as Harrods and Fortnum and Mason, and was offered a replacement site four miles east.
Marion Davies worked in partnership with another photographer, Debra Rapp, on a detailed photographic survey of businesses in the Olympic area prior to their closure in July 2007. The London Development Agency served compulsory purchase orders on 280 businesses in order to redevelop the site for the 2012 Olympic Games.
