Dress fragment, bodice piece
The dress is 1780s construction reusing a 1758-62 Spitalfields woven silk designed by Batchelor, Ham & Perigal (Clare Browne, V&A).
Unpicked front piece from bodice of incomplete dress of sky blue Spitalfields silk.
The dress has been cut up before arriving at the museum by an amateur dramatic company and now comprises a bodice and unpicked bodice and skirt sections.
