A distant view, looking east, of the Waterhouse at New River Head, with a stream (the New River?) in a ditch in the foreground, and people strolling in a fenced field in the middle ground on the left. The buildings on the skyline are presumably part of Islington. W. Hollar delin: et sculp: 1665, in the bottom left. These were bought by A.D. Power at Sotheby's June 1932, from Philip Norman's collection, who write "Hollar Etching from the Rookery Sale, the series of New River Head - of interest. Same as 29.54/3. Power box 34, sheet 41.
