Schoolboys by the Cutty Sark in Greenwich
The Cutty Sark is a Grade I listed 19th-century tea clipper. In this photograph, a group of boy scouts are shown lining up outside the ship in Greenwich. It had come to a specially constructed dry dock in Greenwich in 1954.
In 2007, during a conservation project, the Cutty Sark was badly damaged by a fire. After much restoration work, it was reopened to the public in 2012 by Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh.
