Street Party to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II
Woodmansterne School street party to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. At the Woodmansterne Primary School in Streatham Vale, children took part in a coronation pageant in the street. Following an introductory performance of English Morris dancing and the coronation, each class performed a show representing countries of the Empire for an audience of parents and teachers.
