Shoe, dance shoe
White satin T-bar strap ballroom dance shoes with dark sequin embellishment worn by Hazel Fletcher when she won, with her husband Alan, the World Professional Latin American Dance Championship for the fiftth time, at the Royal Albert Hall on the 12th May 1981. The couple retired from professional dance after this win, making them undefeated champions.
White artificial satin high heeled T-bar peep toe shoes, decorated with sequins, suede soles, lines with beige plastic and suede in the heels. there is a waisted piece across the ball of the foot, a narrow strap from the centre of foot up to the ankle strap, fastening with a buckle. the spangles and sequins, which match the dress 81.639/1a, have been glued to the shoes. The inner back quarter and half the heel are dyed black.
