Alternative London
Nicholas Saunders' book was an encyclopedic guide to living in London for anyone who believed in a 'counterculture', or alternative society. Its chapter headings included, 'Communes', 'Drugs', 'Food Cults'. Saunders researched, self-published and distributed a series of these books himself. He printed 50,000 copies of the first edition published in 1970.
