This guide to shops and services available in London was written by Denys Parsons. Parsons had a background in industrial chemistry and science, and worked as a manager in scientific administration, he also wrote several humorous books and guides, including this 'What's Where in London' guidebook.
The book is a guide to shops and services in London, 'For many years past the author has kept a note of where he has been able to buy such unlikely items as a skeleton, a stuffed otter, luminous paint... The notes have become a book and this is it: the most fascinating collection of London's sidelights ever to be published'.
