Printed Ephemera — 2006-2007
Survivors
The Medical Foundation for the care of victims of torture is a human rights charity based in London. They produced this leaflet listing the services they provide. It explains that: 'A quick glance at the countries of origin of the Medical Foundation's clients is a grave reminder that torture is a global problem. Staff have seen more than 35,000 men, women and children from nearly 100 countries worldwide. Most of these people are coping not just with past trauma, but with the pain of exile too.' Almost all of the foundation's clients are refugees or asylum seekers. They come from countries like Iran, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Turkey and Somalia.
