Mediterranean Foods
Mahdi Mahdi Al Wakil set up the company Mediterranean Foods in 1997. This brochure shows a selection of the foods it manufactures and sells. Mediterranean Foods specialises in vegetarian fare, such as falafel, houmus, couscous and dolma, which are stuffed vegetables. Mahdi Mahdi worked as a doctor in Iraq and Algeria, before seeking asylum in the UK. When he was unable to re-qualify to practise medicine, he established his own family run business.
