Cat no. 188 in Women's Costume, 1750-1800. LM Cat 1935, 1972, p. 64: 'Shoes (mules); 1790-1800; purple silk brocaded with a floral pattern; red ruched ribbon at instep edge; low wedge heel with a narrow base. Condition: good but faded. A15068 (LM Cat 1935, p. 182).' A15068 is another object, therefore the star.
