The Lwo Cultural Group was founded in 1991 by a group of Acholi Ugandans living the UK. One of their key aims is to promote, develop and maintain Lwo cultural heritage. They have a group of up to fifty people who perform traditional Acholi dances, rehearsing at least once a fortnight and performing both at events they organise themselves and events to which they are invited – most notably they performed at the installation of John Sentamu as Archbishop of York.
