Shoe
Pair of woman's shoes (with A12574) of light blue silk brocaded in a floral design in yellow, beige, black and green. The pattern is similar over both vamps. Heels covered in white kid leather. Upper edges, straps, tongue and back and side seams bound with light blue silk. Toe blunt point. Wedged Louis heel, 67 mm high. Leather straight sole; worn outdoors; star stamp at toe and waist; brown polished finish. Turnshoe construction, white stitching on heel. Vamp extends into a medium tongue; quarters into rounded straps to buckle over tongue. There is almost a 50 mm overlap, suggesting it could have been re-used from another shoe. Quarters and straps lined with white kid; vamp and tongue lined with natural linen. Leather insole. Back seam taken in.
