Shoe
Woman's shoes (pair). Upper and heel cover of pale green silk brocaded with a floral pattern in green, yellow, blue, pale orange (peach) and brown; back and probably side seams bound with remains of ivory silk. Leather sole. Blunt point toe. Louis heel, 5.1 cm (H); thin wedge; covered; nail in centre top-piece. Straight sole; worn outdoors; brown finish under arch. Turnshoe construction. Fairly short vamp with low tongue; latchets, long quarters cut into rounded straps. Straight side seam. Lined with white kid. White kid sock. Short triangular stiffener between upper and lining. Back and heel is reinforced with leather between lining and cloth. Shoe in very poor condition, most of the covering material is missing or coming off. Pest damage to sole and insole (paste finish often attracts pests).
