Dombey Street flats, Holborn
Dombey Street flats, Dombey Street, Bloomsbury, 1999. This was the first block of flats in London to reach 10 storeys. It was designed in 1948-9 by Hening & Chitty for Holborn MBC.
From a series of photographs of tower block estates and social housing taken for Museum of London projects which resulted in the 'Capital Concerns' exhibitions in 1999 ('Tower Blocks:Love Them or Loath Them') and 2004 ('Whatever Happened To Council Housing').
