Boots
A pair of Converse All Star canvas boots customised by Bora Aksu. The boots have calico gaiters appliqued with printed cotton motifs and sections of knitted wool cable and are from the 'Disciples' collection A/W 2004.
Bora Aksu set up his own label on graduating from Central Saint Martin's in 2002. His first show, for A/W 2003, was received to great acclaim and he subsequently went on to become a recipient of the Topshop New Generation Award. His work is inspired by his Turkish heritage and many of his handknit pieces are crafted by skilled knitters based in Turkey.
